Recycling of Food
The primary objective of this project was to explore how the strategic partnership between Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), Spinneys, and Circa Biotech has effectively enabled Spinneys to divert its food waste from landfills. Through innovative use of biotechnology involving black soldier fly larvae, converting organic waste into valuable agricultural products, significantly reducing the environmental impact of landfill use while supporting sustainable agriculture practices in the UAE.
